During their first encounter Muhammad Ali would take the lead by way of TKO against Sonny Liston. In the seventh round Liston spit out his mouth guard and failed to answer the bell. In their second fight, in the first round Liston threw a left jab and Ali went over the top of it with a lightning right, knocking Liston down on his back. Liston attempted to stand and fell again. After Referee Jersey Joe Walcott positioned Ali to a neutral corner the fight had been called. Liston had been counted out. Liston was defeated in the first minute of the fight sealing Ali’s championship and superior boxing. Offered is a 16x20 framed photo of Ali standing over Liston’s fallen body signed in gold marker by Ali to the right of his left wrist. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z64050).
