After losing in heart-breaking fashion to their bitter rivals, the New Giants, in the 1951 National League pennant series capped off by Bobby Thomson’s “Shot Heard Round The World”, the 1952 Brooklyln Dodgers rebounded to win the National League, only to lose a hard-fought seven game series to cross-town rivals the New York Yankees.

Offered is this Official National League Warren Giles baseball that has been signed by 25 members of the National League winning Brooklyn Dodgers. Manager Charlie Dressen’s clubhouse signature signed “Chuck” Dressen on the sweet spot in blue pen. Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson signed his name on the east panel with the Spalding stamp, along with the signatures of Carl Furillo (clubhouse), Rocky Bridges, Gil Hodges and Ralph Branca. The south panel has the blue ink signatures of Dick Williams, Pee Wee Reese (clubhouse), Duke Snider (clubhouse), Joe Black, Andy Pafko, an unidentified player and Billy Cox.

The west panel has the signatures in blue ink of Carl Erskine, Preacher Roe, Roy Campanella (clubhouse), George Shuba, Johnny Rutherford and Billy Loes. The north panel has the signatures of Clem Labine, Tommy Holmes, Johnny Shmitz, Bob Morgan, Rocky Nelson and Clyde King. The ball displays toning and has some stains, but the stampings are still clear and the signatures are solid. This baseball comes with a LOA from JSA (Z64045), who have deemed the signatures of Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Roy Campanella, Charlie Dressen and Carl Furillo clubhouse versions.
