Ron Darling was a key contributor to the New York Mets' 103-59 season in 1986. Darling posted a 15-6 record with a 2.81 ERA to lead the Mets to the National League Eastern Division title and National League pennant. Darling posted a 1.53 ERA in two World Series starts helping New York to the dramatic seven-game series victory over the Boston Red Sox.
Darling wore this size 46 W.A. Goodman & Sons New York Mets pullover road jersey during the 1986 season. “Mets” and his number “12” are sewn on the front of the jersey. “DARLING” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue and orange tackle twill over a matching gray nameplate. His number “12” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue and orange tackle twill. A Mets 25th Anniversary patch is sewn on the left sleeve, and a W.A. Goodman & Sons size “46” tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey, which shows moderate wear, has been signed on the back by Darling, who inscribed “1986 World Series Champs” in black marker. This item comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema and a LOA from JSA (Z64094) for his signature.
