Former pitcher Dick Selma wore this New York Mets road jersey during the 1967 season in which he pitched to 2.77 ERA and a 2-4 record. This jersey was later worn by pitcher Jim McAndrew during the 1969 World Championship season.

This gray flannel button-down jersey features “NEW YORK” sewn on across this chest in blue felt on orange tackle twill. The number “43” is sewn on the center left chest in the same blue felt and orange tackle twill combination. Blue piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The Wilson size 40 tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail. The number “43” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue felt on orange tackle twill. The left sleeve has the circular Mets skyline logo patch sewn on the short sleeves. The inside back collar has a team patch that reads “39-67 Set 1”. This indicates that jersey was worn by Selma during the 1967 season as he worn number 39. The number “43” was worn by McAndrew during his tenure with the ballclub and Selma’s last season with the Mets was in 1968. There are remnants of the old number on the jersey and it was commonplace for teams to recycle their jersey for other players or the minor league affiliates. McAndrew signed his name in blue marker below his number on the front of the jersey. This jersey displays moderate use with the felt portion of the numbers rolling up slightly. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema and a LOA from JSA (Z64058) for McAndrew’s signature.
