Davey Johnson spent six plus seasons as manager of the New York Mets, where he compiled a record of 595-417 and guided the team to a World Series title in 1986. Johnson wore this New York Mets Rawlings size 42-44 road gray pullover jersey during the 1987 All-Star Game in Oakland which was won by the National League 2-0 in 13 innings. “New York” and Johnson’s number “5” are sewn on the front in blue and orange tackle twill. The back of the jersey has “JOHNSON” and “5” sewn on in blue and orange tackle twill. The sleeves and sides of the jersey are lined in an orange/blue/orange ribbed material stripe and the v-neck collar is blue. The red Rawlings tag and the white strip tag that reads “JOHNSON 5 A.S. 1987” are sewn on the inner front left tail. Johnson signed his name in blue marker below his number on the front of the jersey and inscribed “Game Used 1987 All Star Game”. This jersey shows light use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema and a LOA from JSA for the signature.
