Before he established himself as a broadcaster and personality, Terry Bradshaw was known to a generation of fans as the quarterback behind one of the most dominant franchises in NFL history. The vaunted “Steel Curtain” defense was only part of the formula, as Bradshaw led a prolific Pittsburgh Steelers offense to four Super Bowls in a six-year span.

A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Bradshaw spent his college career at Louisiana Tech University. By the time he finished his college career, Bradshaw owned all of Louisiana Tech’s passing record and was the number one overall pick by the Steelers, who had won a coin toss with the Chicago Bears to get the top pick.

This offered jersey was worn by Bradshaw during the height of his career. Dated to the 1975 and 1976 seasons, this all-black home Steelers’ Sand-Knit jersey features Bradshaw’s number “12” sewn on in white tackle twill on the front, back and shoulders. The sleeves feature a yellow, black and white striping pattern and the manufacturer’s tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail. A “75” patch is to the left of the Sand-Knit tag indicating that this jersey was worn during the 1975 season, which turned out to be the second consecutive Super Bowl victory season. As was common in the era, this jersey was reused during the 1976 season. “BRADSHAW” is sewn on in yellow tackle twill on a matching black name plate above the number on the back of the jersey. The jersey shows moderate to heavy game use with various marks and fraying from the numbers, several small team repairs on the shoulders and small team repairs on the left chest and upper back. This is one of the finest Terry Bradshaw game used jerseys ever auctioned and he signed his name vertically on the “1” on the back of the jersey. This jersey comes with a LOA from Sports Investors and a LOA from MEARS (315482), who have graded this jersey a perfect A10. This item is also comes with a full LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature (A81777).
