If one had to sum up John Havlicek’s pro career in a single word, it would be “champion”. Fully half of the 16 seasons Havlicek spent in the NBA resulted in a World Championship - and four of them came in his first four seasons as a pro. “Hondo” wore this offered uniform during the 1969 NBA All-Star Game at the Baltimore Civic Arena on January 14, 1969. Starting for the East Conference, Havlicek scored 14 points with seven rebounds and two assists in leading the East squad to a 123-112 victory over the West. Havlicek led an impressive starting squad for the East that also featured fellow Hall of Famers Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell, Earl Monroe and Jerry Lucas.

The white jersey has “EAST” above Havlicek’s number “17” on the front and another “17” on the back in navy tackle twill. A Wilson size 44 label is sewn in the lower left front tail. The matching size 34 white shorts are trimmed in navy. To top off this scarce uniform set, Havlicek has signed the “7” on the front of the jersey in bold silver pen. A truly remarkable uniform set from one of the NBA's greatest players that was worn for a specific event and it comes with a full LOA from Mears, who have graded this uniform set a perfect A10 and a signed LOA from John Havlicek for the game use. Please note that Havlicek made an error on his LOA and initially mis-identified the jersey. There is a LOA from JSA for the signature (Z42174).
