Michael Jordan continued his absurd dominance of the NBA in 1988-89, leading the NBA in scoring for the third consecutive year, with 32.5 points per game average. For good measure, MJ set career highs in rebounds (8) and assists (8) per game. The legendary shooting guard led the Bulls, the sixth seed in the East, to the Eastern Conference Finals where they fell in six games to the eventual NBA Champions, the Detroit Pistons. Although MJ was still a few years away from being a six-time NBA champion, the 25 year old superstar was well on his way to being the greatest player in NBA history in 1988-89.

This white home mesh jersey was worn by Jordan during the 1988-89 season and has “BULLS” and “23” screen printed on the front in red and black. “JORDAN” is screen printed across the back shoulders in red tackle twill, with “23” screen printed in red and black beneath it. A NBA logo patch is sewn on the left chest area of the jersey. Numerous tags are sewn on the front left tail, including a Bulls tag, a MacGregor Sand-Knit size “44” tag, an “88” tag, and a “’2”’ LB” tag. Jordan signed the left chest in black marker, adding the inscription “To Steve Best Wishes”. This item comes with a full LOA from the game experts at Mears, who have graded this Jordan jersey a perfect A10. Additional LOAs for game use come fom noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, who asserts that this jersey shows light wear and noted Bulls expert Alan Meza. There is also a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A81814) for the signature.
