It was the last night two legends of basketball would ever meet on the court: March 10, 2016, Cleveland at Los Angeles. For years Kobe Bryant and LeBron James turned every meeting between their two teams into an event of playoff proportion. Each seemed to propel the other to unprecedented level of personal performance, something only two elite athletes in their prime could do to one another. On March 10, 2016, that one-on-one rivalry reached its climax. LeBron scored 24 that night, while the retiring Bryant did his rival two points better with 26. After the game James told a reporter, "I wish I could play against him every single night. Just that competitive juice, that feeling of just going against one of the greatest, you can never take that for granted."

This is the uniform set worn by Kobe Bryant during that historic “Passing of the Torch” March 10, 2016 game against Cleveland. The gold mesh jersey has “LAKERS” and Kobe’s number “24” on the front in white and purple tackle twill. An Adidas 4XL label is sewn in the lower left front tail with “LENGTH +4” hang tag and Bryant’s number “24” hand written in faded black marker. A “16x” and “4XL” label is sewn inside the collar. The back has “BRYANT” and his number “24” in white and purple tackle twill. A cleaning and size 4XL label is sewn inside the inseam of the jersey. The matching gold mesh shorts have a Lakers logo patch on the left thigh and an NBA logo patch on the right hip. An Adidas 3XL label is sewn inside the waistband with “LENGTH +2” hang tag and Bryant’s number “24” hand written in faded black marker. A 3XL cleaning label is sewn below. The original gold tie string is still present in the waistband. This jersey comes with a LOA from DC Sports and a LOA from Sports Investors, who have photo matched this jersey to the March 10th contest.
