Offered is a late 1960’s Philadelphia Phillies home flannel button-down jersey worn by pitcher Lowell Palmer. Palmer was issued the number “52” is Spring Training 1968 and this off-white with red pinstriped jersey displays moderate use with “Phillies” sewn on the front in red chenille stitching on a white backing. The inside collar has a “Palmer 68” tag with “CHUCK” hand written in faded black marker. The back of the jersey has “58” sewn on in red chenille stitching on a white border. The jersey had its numbers changed, which was common for teams to recycle jerseys. The Wilson size 42, along with a “Wilson 1968 SET 1” tags are sewn on the bottom front left tail. This jersey also has hand written in black marker “58” and “WILLIE.G.M.” vertically on the inside of the button lining, indicating that this jersey was recycled for another player. There are small stains and small holes scattered throughout the jersey. This comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
