The hoard's condition reflects proportionate wear, consistent with handling over the years. Mnay cards have been postally used or have writing on the reverse which was common for these cards. Naturally, the appearance of the oldest cards expresses this to a greater degree than the newest ones. The "youngest" cards - 1960s and 1970s - deliver a pleasing overall aesthetic. Trending older, the material from the middles years falls mainly in the VG to EX range. The 1910s to 1930s are generally lower grade.
