New York Mets pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre wore this gray road Mets uniform during the 1987 All-Star Game. The Rawlings size 44 jersey features "New York" in cursive style sewn on the front in blue and orange tackle twill with Stottlemyre's number "30" below. The back of the jersey has "STOTTLEMYRE" and his number "30" sewn on in blue and orange tackle twill. Blue and orange racing stripes run down the side of the jersey and vertically along the sleeves. Stottlemyre has signed the chest of this pullover jersey in blue marker, inscribing “1987 All Star Game Used” beneath his signature. Also included in this lot are Stottlemyre’s Rawlings gray road pants, which he has also signed in blue marker and inscribed “1987 All Star Game Used”. Each item in this lot comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (E84930, E84931), while a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema covers the use for both the pants and jersey.
