Pitching to a solid 2.84 ERA in 265 innings during the 1973 season with 12 complete games, Jerry Koosman was a key part of the National League Champion New York York Mets. Koosman wore this Rawlings size 44 New York Mets home button-down jersey during the 1973 season. This now off-white with blue pinstriped jersey features “Mets” and “36” on the front of the jersey in blue and orange tackle twill. The Rawlings tag is sewn on the bottom front right tail with the inside collar having a white strip tag that reads “43 73 36”. The back of the jersey has Koosman’s number “36” sewn on in blue and orange tackle twill that is not the original numbering, but restored to match the specifications of the 1973 style. The left sleeve has the Mets skyline patch and this jersey displays moderate use with staining and toning present. Koosman signed his name in black marker below the “36” on the front. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema and a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
