Presented here is a collection of catcher’s gear used by former New York Mets backstop Omir Santos. Included in this lot is a chest protector (signed by Santos in blue marker and inscribed “Game Used 2009”), a catcher’s helmet (signed in silver marker and inscribed “Game Used 2009”), two shin guards (each signed in silver marker and inscribed “Game Used 2009”), two black and white Nike cleats (signed in slightly faded blue marker and inscribed “Game Used 2009”), a blue facemask (signed in silver marker and inscribed “Game Used 2009”), an All-Star Pro-Elite catcher’s mitt (signed in silver marker and inscribed “Game Used 2009”), and a Mets equipment duffle bag (signed by Santos in silver marker and inscribed “2009”). Also included is a blue apparatus used by Santos to tamp in the pocket of his catcher’s mitt. Each signed item comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (E84970 through E84978).
