New York Mets All-Star third baseman David Wright was issued this black alternate Mets road jersey circa 2004, his rookie season. Wright excelled in his 62-game rookie season, hitting .293 with 14 homers, 40 RBI, and six steals as he laid claim to the Shea Stadium hot corner. This size “48” jersey has a Shea Stadium 40th Anniversary patch sewn on the right sleeve and a Mets skyline logo patch sewn on the left. Additionally, a Tug McGraw memorial is present on the right sleeve and a Bob Murphy memorial is sewn on the left sleeve. Wright has signed the chest of this jersey in silver marker, inscribing “Rookie Year” beneath his signature. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ 097906) for the signature and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema asserting that the jersey was game issued.
