Former pitcher Al Worthington spent 14 seasons in the Major Leagues with five different clubs, including the New York/San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds and Minnesota Twins. Worthington spent the last five-plus seasons of his career in Minnesota and was the American League saves leader in 1968. Worthington garnered a 4-5 record in 1968 with a low 2.71 ERA.

This offered size 46 road button-down flannel Twins road gray jersey was worn by Worthington during the 1968 season. Displaying moderate game use, this jersey features “Twins” and a paraph across the chest in navy and red tackle twill. There is staining on the front of the jersey, including a reddish stain towards the bottom center. The bottom front left tail has “Worthington 15”, “46 68” embroidered in navy, with a blue Spalding tag and the washing tag below. The inside back collar has a gray swatch with “Worthington” embroidered in cursive. The back of the jersey has “15” sewn on in navy and red tackle twill and the left sleeve has the Twins logo patch with the Twin ball players shaking hands. The sleeves are shortened with vent holes in the underarms. A terrific late 1960’s flannel jersey, accompanied by a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
