Each card has been graded by PSA. No more than two or three dozen PSA-graded examples exist in each of these pieces, across all levels. Presented here is an exceptional trio of the elusive 1959 Fleer "Three Stooges" checklists. The acquisition of these special checklist cards constitutes one of the contemporary non-sports hobby's most difficult achievements, and the presence of these three collectibles, together in a single offering, represents a marvelous and fortuitous confluence. Collecting enthusiasts have been known to search for years in the quest to obtain even one of these checklists, in any condition. This threesome, numbered 16, 63 and 64, represents all of the numbers in the set that can be found bearing the short-printed checklist back design (as opposed to the standard, joke-style reverse). Issued by Fleer almost as an afterthought, the checklist backs are largely unheralded rarities. Ironically and perhaps unfairly, the attractive condition of these cards is nearly overshadowed by the exclusivity of the "key" non-sports gems. As is the case with all of the cards in the 1959 Stooges set, Larry, Moe, and Curly Joe are featured on the cardfronts in brightly colored pictures from one of their escapades. The viewer can't help but appreciate and delight in the images. It's only when the cards are turned over, however, that the special character of each card can be truly appreciated: the cardbacks are adorned with bright, white-stock Stooges checklists. The array includes: Graded
PSA VG-EX 4 (MK): 1 card, #64 "You Won't Fool Anybody..."/Checklist;
PSA VG 3: 1 card, #16 "You Can't Keep..."/Checklist;
PSA VG 3 (MK): 1 card, #63 "Curly, the First..."/Checklist. The scarcity of these checklists is legendary, and many non-sports collectors have never even seen a solitary example. Here's the chance to own an extraordinary, complete trio of these rare specimens.
