The 2017-18 NBA season saw the Philadelphia 76ers improve on their 2016-17 record by a staggering 24 victories. The bulk of this massive improvement came from the 76ers massive Australian import, the 6’11” rookie sensation Ben Simmons. With Simmons running the point and Joel Embiid handling the dirty work in the low post, the 76ers shocked the NBA establishment by winning 52 games and nabbing the third seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Simmons recorded the second triple-double of his career in this decisive victory, putting up 14 points to go with 11 rebounds and 11 dimes.
