Offered in this lot are three game used items from Alex Rodriguez’s penultimate season with the Texas Rangers in 2002. The first item is a Rawlings size 50 home white button-down Texas Rangers home jersey. This jersey features “RANGERS” across the front in Tuscan lettering in blue, red and black tackle twill. Rodriguez’s number “3” is sewn on in the same blue, red and black pattern. The Rawlings tag is sewn on the inside front left tail with four flags (2 INCH EXTRA LENGTH, 1 INCH EXTRA LENGTH, 50 & SET 3 2002). The back of the jersey has “RODRIGUEZ” sewn on in blue and red tackle twill on a matching white name plate and below is his number “3” sewn on in blue, red and black tackle twill. The MLB logo patch is sewn above the name and blue piping surrounds each sleeve end. The left sleeve has a waving state of Texas flag patch and the Rawlings logo embroidered in blue. The jersey displays moderate use and Rodriguez signed his name in blue marker on the back of the jersey to the left of the number and inscribed “2002 game used”. Rodriguez’s signature comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (F06028) and an AROD hologram (ASI 1782).

The next item in this lot is a pair of matching white Rawlings game pants worn by Rodriguez. The black Rawlings tag is sewn on the inside back waist and connected to the Rawlings tag is the ID that reads “3 RODRIGUEZ 36-45 35 02”. The pants are all-white with no piping and included with this pair of pants is a blue leather belt. There are two pockets on each side of the back and the Rawlings logo is embroidered in blue above the left back pocket. The pants display moderate game use.

The final item in this lot is a size XXXL blue Under Armour undershirt that was worn by A-Rod. The number “3” is embroidered in small print on the upper right chest and “A-ROD” is embroidered in white on the upper back neck. The jersey is a soft material and short sleeves and displays moderate use. Rodriguez signed his name on the front and back of this shirt in silver marker, inscribing “2002 Game Used” on the front. Rodriguez’s signature comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (F06027) and an AROD hologram (ASI 1405). This entire lot comes with a full LOA from Mears for the game use and has been graded a perfect A10. Additionally, there is a LOA from Alex Rodriguez, authenticating use of the jersey and a COA from Rodriguez for the undershirt.
