Presented here is a collection of 22 awards and recognitions from the life and career of Rusty Staub. Included in this lot is a 1971 National League All-Star team plate, three clocks from the Police & Fire Line of Duty Widows of N.Y.C., three medals (including two from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem), the 2005 President’s Award from the Volunteer Center of United Way, an Expos 20th Anniversary Dream Team award, the Phillips-Van Heusen Outstanding Achievement Award, the 1999 Magic Moments 10th Wine Auction award honoring Staub as the 1992 Honorary Chair, an award from the 1989 Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Day at Shea Stadium, a “Friars Tribute” award from 2006, a recognition from the Long Island City Business Development Corporation from 2000, a plaque awarded to Staub from the 1973-74 Seton Hall University baseball team, a recognition from the Queensboro Lodge in 1990, an unnamed award from 1989, a 1990 “Man of the Year” award from the Holy Name Society, a recogniton from the Sergeant’s Benevolent Association, a Gary Carter Athlete of the Year Award, and a certificate from the Chaine des Rotisseurs. Finally, a recognition from the Order of the Knights of the Vine that has been signed by Staub in black marker is included.
