Offered in this lot are three commemorative bats from the Bobby Doerr Collection. Doerr, a Hall of Fame second baseman, played his entire 14-year career with the Boston Red Sox. The first bat offered is a Cooperstown Bat Co. bat commemorating Bobby Doerr’s induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986. “BOBBY DOERR” is painted in bold silver, outlined in blue on the barrel with “INDUCTED 1986” and “9 TIME ALL STAR * 6-100+ RBI SEASONS*.284 BA”. The National Baseball Hall of Fame Logo is to the left and Doerr signed his name in black marker on the barrel. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AE55799).

The second bat in this lot is a commemorative “BOSTON RED SOX AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 1967” Louisville Slugger Hillerich & Bradsby dark brown bat that was presented to Doerr. Facsimile signatures and printed names of all of the team members from “The Impossible Dream Season” team are etched in gold.

The final bat in this lot is an exquisite acrylic bat presented to Bobby Doerr on August 2, 2007 that commemorates his baseball achievements. “BOSTON” in red, white and blue Tuscan font is on the barrel with “BOBBY DOERR “The Silent Captain”” below in blue. To the left is the Red Sox circular logo that reads “BOBBY DOERR DAY AT FENWAY” and “60TH ANNIVERSARY AUG 2, 2007”. Also stickered is “1937-51” and “2042 Hits” and “223 Home Runs”. The knob has his number “1” etched in silver and the entire bat is housed in a blue velvet bat sleeve. This entire lot comes with a LOA from the family of Bobby Doerr.
