This Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball was used during the New York Yankees home game against the Baltimore Orioles on September 22nd, 2014. This was the first game of Derek Jeter’s final homestand at Yankee Stadium, and his three RBI were a big part of the Yankees 5-0 victory. Jeter recorded an RBI groundout in the third, then drove in two more in the bottom of the fifth with a two RBI double off Wei-Yin Chen. This baseball was used in Jeter’s seventh inning at bat against Evan Meek, with the ball being thrown in the dirt to Jeter and removed from play. Jeter would draw the walk in this late game plate appearance. Jeter has signed the offered baseball on the panel to the south of Selig’s stamped signature in blue pen, writing his signature just below a Derek Jeter logo. This baseball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 556245), a COA from Steiner Sports, and a Yankees-Steiner Collectibles LOA (206920).
