This Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball was used during one of the most important baseball games of the 21st century. On August 7th, 2007, Barry Bonds and Hank Aaron were tied for the all-time home run lead, with both men standing on 755 homers. In his inexorable march to the record, Bonds came to the plate at AT&T Park against Washington Nationals starter Mike Bacsik in the fifth inning, having already launched a powerful double in the second frame. Bonds demolished the record in his second at-bat, sending a no-doubter to center-right for his well-deserved record-breaking homer. Bonds finished the season with 28 blasts, putting him alone at the top of the all-time charts with 762 dingers.

This baseball was used during Bonds’ record-breaking game. Held at AT&T Park on the shores of the San Francisco Bay, Bonds was able to break the home run record in front of over 43,000 screaming Giants fans. This ball features a large black mark from game use over the Rawlings logo north of Selig’s stamped signature. Bonds has signed the panel west of the sweet spot in black pen. Over the sweet spot, Bonds inscribed “8-7-07 #756”. This baseball comes with a LOA from Barry Bonds and a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB 623061).
