History was made on August 4th, 2007 at San Diego’s Petco Park when Barry Bonds took Padres’ pitcher Clay Hensley’s pitch over the left field wall in the top of the second inning tying Hank Aaron on the all-time home run list at 755. Despite being on the road, the San Diego crowd roared with delight as Bonds’ son greeted him at home plate and was given a big bear hug by his father, lifting him off the ground.
Offered here is a baseball that was used during the game. While this is not the actual ball that was hit for home run 755, this ball does display outstanding game use with a distinctive black bat mark on the side panel. Bonds signed his name on another side panel and added inscriptions “8-4-07” and “#755”. This ball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB561070), authenticating that this ball was used during the August 4th game and that Bonds signed and inscribed the ball. There is also a LOA from Barry Bonds that will accompany this item.
