Hall of Fame catcher Mike Piazza wore this Rawlings blue catcher’s home chest protector during the 1996 season. Piazza had a solid 1996 as he hit .336 with 36 home runs and 105 RBI, where he finished second in the National League MVP voting. This protector has segmented foam padding with blue satin polyester covers with Rawlings strap systems. The border and straps are red and this chest protector displays excellent game use. Piazza has signed the front in silver marker to the left of the Rawlings tag and inscribed “NL ROY 93” to the right of the tag.
