The arrival of Paul O’Neill in New York in 1993 proved to be the final component needed by the Yankees to become a post-season powerhouse once again. In 1997 O’Neill hit .324 with 21 home runs as the Yanks reached the post-season, and then the next year his .317 helped the club win a record 114 games as they cruised to a World Championship.

This Louisville Slugger C243 Model bat dates to O’Neill’s 1997 and 1998 seasons. The bat shows excellent use with a hairline crack in the handle. Several ball marks are found on the barrel along with cleat imprints and O’Neill has drawn two eyes on the right barrel indicating his preferred contact point. The handle has been taped in a criss-cross pattern and a light coat of pine tar has been applied. This bat comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14263) for the game use.
