Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is an outstanding "1 of 1" example at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of just 22 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. Released late in the '48 season under the auspices of the Triple-A minor league organization, the American Association, this elegant, black-and-white collectible was reportedly distributed as a memorial tribute to the recently fallen slugger. The offered specimen allows no hint of past circulation and – with the refined character of Ruth's likeness on the obverse and reverent treatment of his statistical and biographical information on its back – presents marvelously. A positively glowing memento of a cherished figure, in unique Near Mint to Mint condition.
