Hall of Famer and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this offered plaque by the School of Saint Jude in 1995. Abdul-Jabbar had attended the K-8 catholic school, leaving there in 1961. This plaque with a wood base, measures 7 ½ x 9 ½ inches and has a black plate that has etched in gold “THE SCHOOL OF SAINT JUDE PROUDLY PRESENTS * THIS SYMBOL OF RESPECT AND APPRECIATION TO * KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR CLASS OF 1961* FOR ACKNOWLEDING THE VALUES AND HIGH STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE HE LEARNED HERE AT St. JUDE SCHOOL MAKING KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR THE EXCEPTIONAL ROLE MODEL AND LEADER HE IS TODAY. FEBRUARY 7, 1995”. The award is in overall good condition. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
