The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this key to the city of Huntsville, Alabama by the Mayor of Huntsville, Loretta Spencer. Spencer, the first female mayor in Huntsville history, directed the city from 1996 to 2008. This key is gold-colored and made of solid pewter. The shank of the key is etched with “Mayor Loretta Spencer” and the bit is in the shape of the state of Alabama, with a raised blue star noting the location of Huntsville. The bow features a City of Huntsville crest. The key measures 6.25 inches long and comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar himself.
