Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was awarded this United Press International First Team All-America certificate for his outstanding performance on the UCLA Bruins basketball team during the 1966-67 NCAA Basketball season. Abdul-Jabbar, then known as Lew Alcindor, averaged 29 points and 15.5 rebounds in a season that ended with the first of three straight NCAA titles for the Bruins. This certificate is housed in a UPI-branded folding display. The certificate has been signed by the Sports Editor of the United Press International. The certificate is in overall good condition. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
