Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is depicted performing his signature skyhook move in this stunning LeRoy Neiman oil painting from 1984. Neiman’s traditional color work is present in this painting, with Neiman’s signature painted in gold near the bottom of the artwork. The border of the frame around the painting has been signed by many of Kareem’s teammates on the 1983-84 Lakers, including the Hall of Famers Magic Johnson, Pat Riley, James Worthy, Bob McAdoo, and Jamaal Wilkes. Other signatures include Michael Cooper, Kurt Rambis, Bill Bertka, Swen Nater, Larry Spriggs, Byron Scott, Mitch Kupchak, Dave Wohl, and several others. The signatures have been written in black marker, with “4/5/84”, the date Kareem became the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, written on the frame’s border as well. This is truly a one-of-a-kind painting depicting arguably the greatest basketball player of all-time honoring his famous shot and it comes in a 23 x 41-inch frame.
