The fans in attendance at the 1988 NBA All-Star Game, played in Chicago, watched a familiar sight - Michael Jordan scoring a lot of points. Jordan, named the contest’s MVP, poured in a game-high 40 points in leading the East to a 138-133 victory over the West. Other superstars appearing in the game included Larry Bird, Moses Malone, Dominique Wilkins, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson, Hakeem Olajuwon and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was named to his 18th (of 19 total) career All-Star Game.  Abdul-Jabbar scored 10 points to go along with four rebounds in the game.

This is the Balfour-manufactured 1988 NBA All-Star Game ring presented to Hall of Famer and NBA all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. This ring features an image of a basketball that is displayed on a large red stone, while “NBA ALL-STAR” appears around the bezel setting. One side of the ring is centered by the game’s logo, with the year “1988” at the top and “NBA” at the bottom. The name “ABDUL-JABBAR” is shown above an enamel-filled NBA logo on the opposite side. “LGB CE” is marked on the inside of this approximate size 11 ½ ring, with the weight of this item being approximately 23.0 grams. This item comes with a signed LOA from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
