Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (then playing as Lew Alcindor) took the NBA by storm after his highly successful college career at UCLA, and it didn’t take him long to climb to the summit in the pro ranks. In just his second season, Abdul-Jabbar averaged a league-leading 31.7 points along with 16.0 rebounds per game in leading the Milwaukee Bucks to an incredible 66-16 record. Oscar Robertson scored 19.4 points per game (with 8.2 assists) and Bob Dandridge posted averages of 18.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. The Bucks only lost two games in the playoffs, winning the NBA Finals in a four-game sweep over the Baltimore Bullets.
Presented here is a Balfour 14K gold 1971 Lew Alcindor Milwaukee Bucks NBA championship ring, featuring a beautiful round diamond set on a basketball design background. “NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS” reads around the setting. One shank displays the NBA league logo, in the center of the year 1971. A Bucks team logo is wonderfully done in relief work on the opposite shank while boasting “20 STRAIGHT”. The name “L. ALCINDOR” appears at the top. “BALFOUR 14K” appears inside the band of this approximate size 11 ½ ring, with the weight being an approximate 39.2 grams. The item comes directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem also accompanies this item.
