Offered here is a Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger bat signed by Hall of Famer Ted Williams and originating from the personal collection of his teammate, the Hall of Fame second baseman Bobby Doerr. A rangy left fielder who could hit for power and average, Williams patrolled the outfield at Fenway Park for 19 seasons. Williams was the last batter to hit over .400 in a season, posting a .406 mark in the renowned 1941 MLB season. Known as one of the best pure hitters to grace the diamond, Williams slugged 521 home runs in his career. Without three seasons sacrificed serving his country honorably in WWII and Korea, Williams surely would have eclipsed the 600-home run mark, among other milestones. A two-time MVP, Williams was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966. Williams has signed this bat in blue marker. This bat comes with a LOA from JSA (Z82903) and a LOA from the Doerr family.
