This Official Major League Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseball was used during the 2017 American League Wild Card Game between the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. This was the first postseason appearance for Aaron Judge, the 2017 American League Rookie of the Year. Judge powered the Yankees to an 8-4 victory in this contest, crushing a two-run homer, the first playoff homer of his career, off Jose Berrios in the fourth inning to extend the Yankees lead to a comfortable 7-4 margin. Judge finished the game 2-4 with two RBI, three runs scored, and walk.
This baseball, used during the Wild Card Game, has been signed on the sweet spot by Aaron Judge. Judge, who finished the 2017 season with 52 longballs, a MLB rookie record, has signed this ball in blue pen with the inscription “7/11” below his signature, noting the limited edition status of this baseball. This ball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JD 465176), two Steiner Sports holograms (272136, SS296631), and a Fanatics hologram (A278839).
