Offered here is an Official American League Lee MacPhail baseball signed by 24 Hall of Famers that gathered for the 1974 Hall of Fame Inductions of Mickey Mantle, White Ford, James “Cool Papa” Bell, Jim Bottomley, Jocko Conlan and Sam Thompson. Stanley Covaleski and Rube Marquard signed their names in bold blue pen across the sweet spot, with Joe Medwick’s signature in black in between. The 1974 inductees Mantle, Ford and Conlan have signed their names on the east panel in blue, along with Bell, who signed his name in black. Other signatures on the east panel include Satchel Paige, Roy Campanella and Stan Musial, all in blue pen. The signature of Campanella has been deemed a clubhouse version. On the south panel are the signatures of Bob Feller and Monte Irvin in blue, with Red Ruffing, Warren Spahn and Bill Terry (who signed it “Wm. H/Bill Terry) in black. The north panel has the signatures of Sam Rice, Lloyd Waner, Charles Gehrigner, Harry Hooper and Ted Lyons in black, with Buck Leonard and Lefty Grove in blue. The west panel with the Reach stamp has the signatures of George Kelly, and unidentified name and Casey Stengel in black. “1974” and “18” are hand written in blue on the Reach stamp. This ball is in good condition displaying light toning. The signatures in blue are bold and the signatures in black are light. This multi-signed Hall of Famers baseball comes with a LOA from JSA (X51144).
