Joe Mauer as a catcher in his third full season, won his first of his three career batting titles in 2006 with an impressive .347 average. Mauer was the catalyst in leading the Minnesota Twins to the National League Central Division title in 2006. Mauer wore this navy alternate Minnesota Twins jersey during the 2006 season. This Majestic size 50 button-down jersey features “Twins” and a paraph sewn on across the chest in red and white tackle twill. Red piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons and the Majestic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail, along with the team tag that reads “7 50 06”. The back of the jersey has “MAUER” sewn on in white and red tackle twill on a matching navy nameplate. Mauer’s number “7” is sewn on in red and white tackle twill. The sleeves have red piping around the ends, with the left sleeve having the Twins “Twin City” logo patch above the Majestic logo embroidered in white and the right sleeve having “34” sewn on in black and white tackle twill in memory of Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett. Mauer has signed his name in silver marker on the top of the “7”. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB100909). Please note that MLB has classified this jersey as “Team Issued” a common designation for jerseys collected after the season. There is also a COA from JSA (V91621) for the signature.
