Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Hall of Famer, and a debut-year collectible. This is one of just sixteen examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of more than 850 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. It's exciting to view this exemplary specimen of George Blanda's rookie card. The incredibly versatile and durable Blanda was a highly regarded star player during the entirety of an unheard-of 26 seasons in professional football. He played in 340 games, distinguished himself as a quarterback and a kicker, and was enshrined at Canton on the basis of a long list of stellar credentials. And it all started here, suitably commemorated by this top-notch rookie gem. This 1954 Bowman card, depicting Blanda with the Chicago Bears, scintillates with freshness and never-touched character. The series' tendency to exhibit slight blurriness in its images has graciously conceded this single, perfectly focused example to an appreciative hobby. Its physical attributes of centering, corners and print quality are all impeccable. This exceptional card is an appropriately superb memento of Blanda's singular career. Outstanding Mint condition.
