In 1967, UCLA’s sophomore sensation Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, then known as Lew Alcindor, was honored with inclusion in the Helms Athletic Foundation’s All-America team. Abdul-Jabbar, in his first year playing for the Bruins, averaged 29 points and 15.5 assists while leading UCLA to the first of their three consecutive NCAA titles. Abdul-Jabbar won nearly every college basketball award that season, including this prestigious honor from the Helms Athletic Foundation. This plaque measures 17.5 x 15 inches and features other basketball stars such as Elvin Hayes, Wes Unseld, Mel Daniels, and more. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
