The 38-year old Kareem Abdul-Jabbar turned in yet another fantastic season in 1985-86 for the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 23.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game as the Lakers captain. Abdul-Jabbar led the Lakers to an NBA Finals appearance in 1985-86, where, despite his 27 points per game average, the Lakers fell to the Houston Rockets in five games.
Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this plaque in recognition of his place of the 1985-86 All-NBA First Team. This plaque measures 10 x 12 inches, with a gold image of a basketball player and a laurel wreath affixed to the front. A smaller plaque on this item reads “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar / Los Angeles Lakers / 1985-86 All-NBA / First Team”. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
