In the spring of 2000, Rafael Furcal made the steep jump from Single A ball to the Major Leagues. Furcal quickly made good, hitting .295 with 40 stolen bases for the Atlanta Braves, a performance that earned him the National League’s Rookie of the Year honors. Furcal’s Louisville Slugger H238 model bat has a labeling period of 1999 but was used in 2000. This bat shows moderate use and is un-cracked. The barrel is covered with ball marks and imprints, cleat marks and bat rack paint streaks. The color of the ball marks on the barrel are the determining factor of the bat’s use in 2000. The handle has a heavy coat of pine tar which extends into the center brand area. Furcal’s number “1” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13699) for the game use.
