The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar personally owned this tan saddle. Abdul-Jabbar is a noted historian and student of the Old West, especially the Buffalo Soldier regiments of African-American lawmen who enforced order and civilizations in the frequently untamed West. This offered saddle was designed by Mervin Ringlero, a legendary craftsman in the new West. Ringlero, born in 1917, studied his craft in Arizona before operating for much of his professional career in California. Throughout his extensive career, Ringlero crafted saddles for numerous celebrities and stars, including John Wayne, Clint Walker, Randy Travis, and many more.
This leather saddle features a stunning geometric pattern around the body of the saddle. A saddle horn is located on the front of this saddle, which also features a pair of leather stirrups. A “Designed by Mervin Ringlero” brand is located near the rear of this saddle. The saddle comes on a wooden stand. This item is accompanied by a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
