Graded GD 2 by PSA. "Polar Bear" back. This sought-after collectible shows outfielder Bill O'Hara with his "St. Louis Nat'l" caption, a version that was only sold with Polar Bear's scrap tobacco. The item's period of distribution was short (consistent with O'Hara's brief, 10-game stint with St. Louis) and the manner of its packaging left it vulnerable to staining. The offered example has a few light tobacco spots on the reverse, but these are primarily confined to the left-side periphery; neither these specks, a pair of marginal creases at the right side, or the piece's uniformly distributed corner rounding detract from the image's clarity and eye appeal. The critical caption-printing is distinct, and the card's reverse is sound. An estimable specimen of this "key" entry, in Good condition.
