The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this Beyond the Bell G.R.I.T. trophy in 2015. Beyond the Bell is a foundation that provides after-school recreation and education to schoolchildren, with G.R.I.T. an acronym for “Generosity, Resiliency, Integrity, Tenacity”. This award measures just shy of 10 inches tall. A placard affixed to the base of the award reads “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar / 2015 Beyond the Bell / G.R.I.T. Award Recipient”. It comes in the original black presentation box. This award comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
