The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this glass award to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Los Angeles Lakers victory over the Boston Celtics in the 1985 NBA Finals. Abdul-Jabbar was named the MVP of the 1985 Finals, scoring 25.7 points with 9 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest in the Lakers six-game victory over their hated rivals. The 1985 Finals was the Lakers first victory over the Celtics, although they would add two more to that number in 1987 and 2010. This offered award measures 9.5 inches tall and is printed with “1985 World Champions” and a Lakers logo near the top, while the body of the award is printed with “In Commemoration / Of the Los Angeles Lakers / 1st World Championship Victory / Over the Boston Celtics / April 22, 1995”. On the back of the award is an image of the Larry O’Brien Trophy. This glass award comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
