The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this trophy from Wayne State University to honor his keynote speaking role at the university’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Tribute in 2011. Wayne State was founded in 1868, and their athletic teams play in the Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. This transparent award measures 9.5 inches tall and stands on a 5.5 x 2.25-inch base. Printed on the face of the award is a Wayne State logo and the text “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute / January 18, 2011 / Kareem Abdul-Jabbar / Keynote Speaker”. This trophy comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
