Offered is this original John F. Kennedy oil painting on canvas by the artist Peter Max which originates from the personal collection of Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Abdul-Jabbar, a noted student of history, has been honored by several United States Presidents, although he was only in high school when President Kennedy was tragically assassinated. This 36 x 48-inch canvas artwork shows four portraits of President Kennedy distorted by color in the traditional Max style. Max, a prominent pop artist born in Germany, has signed the upper right-hand corner of the painting simply as “Max” using red paint. This painting derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item. Please note that this IS an original oil painting and not a lithograph or re-print.
