Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this 1999 City of Los Angeles Resolution adopted on October 27th, 1999 proclaiming Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Day in Los Angeles. Abdul-Jabbar, a star at both UCLA and with the Los Angeles Lakers, is one of the greatest athletes in Los Angeles history. This 22 x 13-inch document is decorated with a stunning Kareem Abdul-Jabbar motif, including his name spelled out in purple and yellow accented calligraphy, and a purple “33” superimposed on the center of this resolution. Please note that this document exhibits minor signs of water damage, however it still presents beautifully. This item has been signed by Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan, as well as numerous other members of the Los Angeles city government. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
