Offered here is a 1988 State of New Jersey proclamation honoring the Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Abdul-Jabbar was in the middle of his final season in December of 1988, when he was honored at the Meadowlands Arena by then New Jersey governor Thomas H. Kean. This proclamation is 12 x 9 inches and features a gold Great Seal of the State of New Jersey on the lower corner. The proclamation has been signed in black marker by Kean and New Jersey Secretary of State Jane Burgio. The proclamation features several small holes and a slight tear on the upper right-hand corner. This item comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
