Presented here is an album page that could very well be considered the Holy Grail of popular music history. This page has been signed by all four Beatles – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr – and the tempestuous frontman of the Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger. While the Stones and the Beatles differed in certain key aspects, their dual representation as bastions of the 1960’s counterculture movement rang true on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Beatles and Jagger were infrequent collaborators and friendly rivals, limiting their appearances together to a few key instances. The groups worked together on several songs, including “A Day In The Life” and “You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)”, and even considered starting a collaborative record label.

This album page was likely signed in 1967, when the Beatles and Jagger’s retinue attended a 10-day meditation course in Bangor, Wales hosted by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi starting on August 25th, 1967. Tragedy struck the Beatles on August 27th when their manager, Brian Epstein, passed away, necessitating the Beatles return to their home country. Sometime before their departure, McCartney, Harrison, Lennon, Starr, and Jagger all signed this 5.75 x 4.75-inch piece of lined paper. McCartney, Lennon, Harrison, and Starr have all signed the paper in black ballpoint pen. Ringo sketched a small drawing of a star below his signature. Jagger has signed the upper portion of this album page, using a blue pen to write his iconic signature. This incredibly rare grouping of signatures is a museum quality piece and would instantly become the star attraction of any serious collection. The album page has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (W02531).
